Literature Text

sometimes I wonder when anticipation cancels me
why I should regret all I'll ever be.
when my two cents aren't nearly worth a plugged nickel,
I find myself standing right here.

if deep and wide turned into shallow and thin
why would I still be standing right where I am?
why do I find things progressing and myself not changing

I see through the masks, but none of them can see me.
the faux and the false all surround me,
perjurous they stand on this unstable ground
then dissipate within themselves, and no longer stand at all.

through all, and through ever, I glance around
and come to realize what I have found
and this spot here..
this is where I stand.
this poem is about myself. yeah, it's not about girls, not about Steve, it's about me. and how I don't change..I'm always where I said I'd always be. my promises are my life..and breaking them is like killing myself.
